If this website contains third-party advertising, the advertisers are responsible for ensuring that they comply with current regulations on intellectual and industrial property, and they are solely responsible for the content published in their advertisements.

Cancellations, Modifications, and Liability:
7.1 Cancellations and Modifications of Reservations:
Cancellations and modifications of reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by 1:00 PM on the day before your arrival. If this deadline is not met, the reservation will be subject to additional charges according to the most updated rate.
If the reservation was made through a third-party platform (referred to as OTAs – Online Travel Agencies, such as Booking or Expedia, among others), modifications or cancellations, receipts, vouchers, and other needs must be managed directly with the corresponding platform. However, the hostel will be available to guide the guest at all times.

Room Occupancy:
If the reserved or assigned room is not vacated by the stipulated check-out time, the hostel may apply additional charges.

Room Changes:
If a room change is required, this change will be subject to availability and current rates.

Force Majeure Situations:
The hostel will not be responsible for the cancellation of reservations, events, or services affected by force majeure situations, such as weather, geophysical, or health conditions that may compromise the safety of guests and staff. In these cases, cancellations will be subject to the current cancellation and modification policies, and the hostel’s responsibilities will be limited.

Use of Facilities and Responsibilities:
Guests and occupants of our properties are obligated to maintain the hostel facilities in optimal conditions. Any damage caused to furniture, facilities, or equipment will be the responsibility of the guest and must be financially compensated according to the cost of repair or replacement.
It is strictly prohibited to alter public order, the environment, common areas, or rooms. The consumption of prohibited substances, carrying weapons, and behaviors that threaten the safety, integrity, or respect of other guests or hostel staff will result in restricted access to our facilities and may lead to reports to the competent authorities.

No Smoking Policy:
In accordance with current public health regulations in Mexico City, HOSTEL BARRIO group hotels are 100% smoke-free, including tobacco-related products such as vapers. Any violation of this policy will be sanctioned with restricted access and additional charges caused by fines or restrictions. This measure complies with the Official Mexican Standard NOM-028-SSA2-2009 and local legislation in Mexico City that promotes smoke-free spaces.

Declaration of Valuables:
It is the guest’s responsibility to declare valuable items (jewelry, expensive electronic devices, important documents, etc.) at the reception upon check-in so that the necessary measures for their protection can be considered. The hostel will not be responsible for damages, losses, or theft if the existence of such items is not previously declared.

Parking:
Hostel Barrio does not have its own parking, and recommendations exclude any responsibility for any event resulting from total or partial theft of goods or valuables left in so-called “private parking lots.” Hostel Barrio is limited to providing, without any agreement, the name, location, and prices without prior verification by the guest when requesting the service at these establishments.

Dining Areas and Allergies:
If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, it is important to notify the hostel staff before consuming food in our restaurants or dining areas. If omitted, the hostel will not be responsible for any reaction or incident related to your health. Medical attention will be the responsibility of the guest and their companions.

No Pet-Friendly Policy:
HOSTEL BARRIO does not allow pets in its facilities. We reserve the right of admission in case of attempting to enter with animals.

Registration of Companions:
It is mandatory to register all individuals who will stay and accompany the guest at the reception upon arrival (check-in). Only individuals registered in your reservation may enter the hostel. If changes are needed, you must inform us in advance and in writing (email) or through third-party platforms (referred to as OTAs – Online Travel Agencies, such as Booking or Expedia, among others).

Proof of Entry to the Country:
The hostel does not issue proof of entry to the country. If any government entity requires information related to the stay or reservation, it must be formally requested from the hostel through an institutional email or official letter, and the hostel will have up to 30 natural days to respond. If this situation arises from third-party platforms (referred to as OTAs – Online Travel Agencies, such as Booking or Expedia, among others), please kindly address it directly through the contact means of said platforms.

Use of Coworking – Roof Garden, Terrace:
The use of Coworking, Roof Garden, and Terrace facilities is the guest’s responsibility. The hostel is not responsible for injuries or accidents that occur due to improper use of the spaces.

Transportation Service (Transfer):
The passenger transfer service is operated by external providers who coordinate with the hostel but are not part of our direct operations. The hostel is not responsible for the safety or negotiations between guests and these operators, nor for any inconvenience arising from their use, such as accidents, delays, public safety issues, or natural disasters. Any agreement or negotiation made with transportation operators will be solely the responsibility of the requester. Additionally, the use of this service does not justify a delay in your check-in; you are requested to arrive on time and in proper form at the hostel to avoid additional charges to your reservation.

Minors Policy and Right of Admission:
Minors must be accompanied by a guardian or legal representative. HOSTEL BARRIO reserves the right of admission if inappropriate behavior or conditions that affect the tranquility and safety of other guests are detected. Any unauthorized entry may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

Conduct Responsibility:
The guest must maintain appropriate conduct during their stay. Excessive alcohol consumption, fights, physical or verbal aggression is prohibited. If any of these behaviors occur, the hostel reserves the right to cancel the reservation and take legal action if necessary. Aggressive, violent, or inappropriate behavior, as well as excessive alcohol consumption, are prohibited.

Capture of Images or Videos:
Taking photos or videos of other guests without their consent is prohibited. If caught, HOSTEL BARRIO reserves the right to deny access to the hostel or cancel your stay without any responsibility and without refundable fees.

Alcohol Consumption:
Excessive alcohol consumption is prohibited in the hostel. If a guest is found to be intoxicated or behaving inappropriately, the hostel reserves the right to cancel their reservation. Likewise, the consumption of alcoholic beverages in hallways, public areas, parking lots, and unauthorized areas is prohibited.

Inappropriate Access:
If the guest or their companions arrive intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, the hostel reserves the right to deny access.

Lost Items:
Lost items by guests will be kept for a maximum period of 30 days, after which they will be discarded.

Issuance of Tax Receipts:
The issuance of tax receipts must be requested directly at the hotel reception, providing the necessary information. Local taxes applicable to the reservation will be charged according to current legislation. The issuance of tax receipts must be requested at the time of check-in.

Formalization of the Lodging Contract and Responsibilities:
The lodging contract is formalized at the time of confirming the service availability and making the corresponding payment through the secure payment gateway. HOSTEL BARRIO guarantees the protection of the information provided by the user through encryption systems and the proper handling of their personal data. See our “Privacy Notice” at www.hostelbarrio.com.

Validity of Promotions:
Promotions will be valid only during the period specified on the website or while they are accessible for contracting.
These terms and conditions are applicable to all mentioned properties. If any additional validation or verification not contemplated in this document is required, it must be addressed directly by the Front Desk staff at the corresponding hotel.
