What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is available from 3:00 pm. Check-out must be completed before 12:00 pm; late check-outs will incur an additional fee.
Can I check in before 3 pm?
We offer early check-in service for an additional fee, subject to availability. If your room is not ready yet, you can leave your luggage with us and we’ll store it safely until you’re able to check in.
Is the front desk open 24 hours?
Yes, our front desk is open 24/7. However, for security reasons, the main door is locked after 11:00 pm, so you’ll need to show your access key and wristband to enter.
Are breakfast and rates included?
We offer a continental breakfast, but not all rates include it. It depends on the option you select when making your reservation.
Do you have shared rooms just for women?
Yes, in our shared room category you can choose between mixed rooms or female-only rooms, available exclusively in the Box Beds category.
Do the shared rooms have bathrooms?
No, bathrooms are shared and located outside the rooms. This applies to both Box Beds and Micro room categories.
Are there lockers in the shared rooms to store my things?
Yes, each cabin has its own private closet and safe so you can store your belongings securely.
Are there private rooms with private bathrooms?
Yes! We offer suites that include a private bathroom and, in some cases, a terrace with a jacuzzi. We also have private rooms in the Micro-Plus category, where the bathroom is semi-private and shared with only two other rooms.
Do you offer tours for lucha libre, Teotihuacán, Xochimilco, and other attractions in Mexico City?
Yes, we have a super fun and varied activity schedule so you can enjoy authentic experiences in CDMX, such as lucha libre, Teotihuacán, Xochimilco, and more. Ask for details and schedules at the front desk.
Do you have a restaurant or food service?
We don't have a restaurant, but at our bar you can order snacks like pizza, wings, fried tacos, and some simple options to satisfy your cravings.
Is there a kitchen where I can cook my own food?
We don't have a full kitchen, but we offer basic appliances so you can prepare meals, including an electric oven, air fryer (great for cooking proteins), toaster, and refrigerator.
Do you offer laundry service?
Yes, we offer laundry service through an external provider. If you drop off your clothes before 11:00 am, they'll be ready the same day. The service is available Monday through Saturday, except on holidays, and is charged based on weight.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes, you can leave your luggage with us for as long as you need. Storage is free on the day of your check-out until 10:00 pm. After that time, the service costs $150 MXN per day for two suitcases.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Of course! We have high-speed Wi-Fi available throughout the hostel so you can always stay connected.
Is the coworking space included in the accommodation rate?
Yes, all guests can use our coworking space located on the hostel rooftop. The area includes private booths for silence and privacy, a fully equipped meeting room, and a shared table for collaborative work.
Are there public transportation stations nearby?
At Hostel Barrio, we are close to several public transport stations. San Juan de Letrán Station on Metro Line 8 is about a 5-minute walk away. Allende (Line 2) is about 10 minutes away; Isabel La Católica (Line 1) is 8 minutes away; and Juárez (Line 3) is a 15-minute walk. As for the Metrobús, El Salvador Station (Line 4) is just 3 minutes away on foot, and Juárez Station (Line 3) is about 15 minutes away. We also offer transfer service to any point in the city for an additional fee—ask at the front desk for more information.
Do you accept pets?
Currently, we do not allow pets on our premises, except for emotional support dogs and guide dogs, who are always welcome to ensure your comfort and safety.
