How do I get to Barrio from the airport?
Mexico City’s International Airport is connected to the historic center by metro (subway) and metrobús.
The closest metro station to Barrio is San Juan de Letrán (just 1 block away). From the airport, you can board the metro at the Terminal Aérea station, located in Terminal 1.
To get here by metrobús, there are 2 routes: north and south. If you take the north route, you must get off at the Bellas Artes station and walk 10 minutes to Barrio. If you take the south route, you must get off at El Salvador station, located just around the corner from the hostel, a 2-minute walk.
In the airport’s Terminal 1, you will find the metrobús stop at gate 7. In Terminal 2, you will find it at gate 2.
If you prefer to arrive by taxi, at the airport you will find authorized taxi services that are safe to use. Digital platforms such as Uber, Didi Beat and Cabify are prohibited at the airport.
